The CEOs Forum 2026 – Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Advocacy Programme was successfully held on 3 September 2026 at the Moonwalk Hall, Lotus Tower, Colombo, bringing together senior leaders and key stakeholders from the plantation sector to strengthen the commitment towards workplace safety and employee well-being.
The programme commenced with a welcome address and an overview of the objectives by Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Director – Health, PHDT.
The ILO Country Director, Ms. Joni Simpson, delivered an insightful address, followed by a session on the Importance of Occupational Safety and Health conducted by Mr. Samant Yogindra, OSH Specialist – ILO.
Mr. Lal Perera, Director General – PHDT, presented an overview of PHDT activities and the implementation of the OSH programme across the plantation sector. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Prashanthan, National Coordinator – ILO.
The forum served as a valuable platform for strengthening collaboration and reaffirming the plantation sector’s commitment to promoting safe, healthy and sustainable workplaces.
